Feverish preparations in Dorsington for the NGS ‘Open Gardens Day’ charity bonanza on Sunday June 10th.
This annual event combines two quintessential peculiarities of the English—a love of gardening and being nosey. Every year, thousands of people flock to Dorsington, looked after by an army of volunteers from the village. Just over £28,000 was raised in 2010 (much of which goes to Macmillan Nurses cancer care) and hope to pass £20,000 this time around. Pray for good weather on June 10th, please!
